Legends of Rock will feature THE BEATLES! The 12-week Legends of Rock Program meet will meet on Saturdays from 11am-1pm starting on January 7th. The Legends Program is for kids and teens ages 10-18 with beginning and intermediate skills levels. This is a unique opportunity for Beatles fans! REGISTER HERE
The Young Rockers Program will begin on January 9th and meet on Mondays from 5:30-7:30pm. The Young Rockers Program is for kids and young teens aged 6-14 with beginner skill levels and is a great introduction to guitar, bass, drums, keys, and/or vocals. The Young Rockers Program includes a 'Young Roadies' tech session and weekly 30-minute private lesson (scheduled separate from the Monday session time).
The Renegades Program is for adults 21+ who want to play their chosen instrument or learn a new instrument and jam with others in a band. The Renegades is for all skill-level performers and meets on Mondays from 7-9pm, starting on January 9th.
Our next Rockers Program meets on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-8:30pm starting on January 10th. The Rockers Program is for teens aged 12-18 with intermediate to advanced skill levels. We're excited that this season the Rockers will feature our salute to Bands of the NorthWest, such as Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, Red Fang, Modest Mouse, Portugal. The Man, Bikini Kill, Soundgarden, Heart, The Ventures, Alice in Chains, Hole, The Presidents of the United States of America, Red Fang, Melvins, Nirvana, Yob, The Kingsmen, Sleater-Kinney, and Death Cab for Cutie, as well as local favorites Typhoon and Blitzen Trapper.

It is our pleasure to officially announce that Jarred Venti has joined the RiverCity Rock team! Jarred is a major force in the Salem music scene, and his passion, dedication, and commitment to everything music are a true inspiration. Jarred is an incredible and versatile bass player able to play Rock, Blues, Funk, Metal, Jazz, Reggae, Soul, Country, Pop and anything else that you can imagine. Jarred will be teaching in our upcoming Beatles program as well as teaching bass lessons for kids, teens and adults starting on Saturday, January 7th, 2017. Jarred Venti is a professional musician with vast performance, recording, and studio experience. Jarred started playing music at age 7 and decided at age 14 that the bass would be his primary instrument. In addition to bass, Jarred sings, plays drums, piano, and guitar. Jarred’s first band was Crossing 13th which turned into Groove Thief. He has recorded albums with Crossing 13th, Groove Thief, Still Water Vibes, Gabriel Cox, and Jaskamon, among others. Jarred regularly plays with Gabriel Cox, Chris Jones, Jake Blair, our teacher Rich McCloud, and a wide variety of other projects. If you have been to any Salem Jam Session over the past three years, Jarred probably hosted, played, organized or did all three. Jarred has either formed or joined tribute bands to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots, and David Bowie over the years. Some of his major bass influences are John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, Jack Bruce, Roger Waters, and Flea. Jarred will bring his many years of performance and studio experience to teach students proper tone, techniques, and tools to his music students.
