Pop Rocks (Ages 5-7)

Our Pop Rocks Program is geared towards young, aspiring and beginning music students ages 5 to 7. During the 6-week program, Pop Rock students will explore music in a comfortable, non-intimidating, creative, and expressive social atmosphere centered around enjoying contemporary pop and rock music of the last 60 years.

Pop Rocks

RiverCity Rock Academy brings a unique approach to early childhood music education with our Pop Rocks program which focuses on the foundations of music such as rhythm, sound, basic music theory of notation, tempo, pitch, dynamics, timbre, song structure, and developing listening skills.

Students explore a variety of accessible instruments, as well as vocal activities with an emphasis on active, participatory, dancing, and movement exercises. Pop Rock students will learn about the history of modern music and will also engage in a number of artistic and creative activities during the session.

Sessions & Tuition

Pop Rocks sessions are one-hour for six weeks. We will offer our next class for the Winter 2019, Thursday's 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM starting on January 10th, 2019. Regular price for Pop Rocks is $150 per 6 week session.

Students may also enroll in 30 minute weekly private lessons for guitar, drums, bass, piano, or voice at our special enrolled students rate. Students can continue the Pop Rocks program multiple sessions and will be prepared for more formal music education.

The Rock School

Salem Oregon's rock school established in 2015 to provide a performance based contemporary music education program to our talented community.

To date, our students have learned hundreds of popular rock songs and performed for thousands of music fans. Our professional music studios, led by the best local and active working musicians, have developed a unique community of fun, support, and encouragement for rock stars of all ages and types.
